OK, yes, IIRC the Sony actually had 3 demodulators, one for R, one for G,
and one for B ;-) (KV2000 chassis?)
I remember looking at that diagram for a long time wondering??????
No matrix!!
And it could do PAL, came with hue control to rotate the phase...
(Was looking for a KV2000 diagram to look it up, not for free on the net it
seems).

It is marketing that sells, no matter how awful the product.
For example ... (space for flames later) people are buying widescreen LCD
while CRT still has a better picture.... mpeg mp4 movies that are unsharp
at anthing that moves... 'because you cannot see it' well I DO see it....
mp3 compression because you cannot hear those faint sounds in a strong one,
well I CAN hear them... But one day we have enough space to record
uncompressed...
