A very inexpensive Philips 640 dvd player can be found at Walmart. Easily
hackable to become region free, progressive scan, and I have 2 and have had
no problems with them yet. Will play anything you throw at it. And at the
price (around $69) I'll keep buying another one if one of mine ever conks
out on me.
