I have a Pioneer DVR-210 stand alone DVD recorder. It does -R and -RW.
I have recorded about 100 -R DVDs with no known problems, altho I
haven't played all of them. Recently I burned some TV shows on -RW
because my TIVO was full and I didn't want permanent copies. The disks
had been used only once before. When I played them back I had a few
problems. Half way thru it would freeze up and then after a while
restart quite a bit further into the recording. It was repeatable at
the same points. I could view most of the recording by backing up to
just after the point where it froze. Is this a signal that my recorder
is failing? I am viewing a recently burned -R without problems. The
RW problem happened on 2 different disks.
