I was sure glad to finally get rid of my PAL-based Korean DVD of _King Kong_
(1933). That 4% speed up in the audio throws everything off kilter. The
dialog sounds like a bunch of chipmunks jabbering and the music becomes a
burlesque of distortion.

I just checked eBay and couldn't find any of the once-numerous listings of
the Korean PAL-based NTSC versions of _King Kong_ (1933). Those Korean DVDs
were better than nothing, but now that Warner has finally released the real
thing in region 1, the PAL party is over. Finally, the 100-minute movie is
no longer crammed into a 96-minute time slot.
