You might try my system. I have an external hard drive that I connect to my
computer and tranfer the entire contents of the computer's hard drive to the
external one. I then turn off the external HD. It came in handy the other
day when I accidentally deleted an entire composer from my mp3 files. I was
able to restore every missing file from the external drive.
