He did no such thing, he asked a perfectly acceptable question as
whether such a feat was possible, and if not; how manufacturers are
allowed to get away with such a claim.

The key to the answer he was searching for lies in the wording the
manufacturers use of course - it's all about semantics. Describing leads
as being of "higher quality" is fine, the *materials* they use may well
be of higher quality, that is not in doubt. I could be wrong but offhand
I do not believe anyone actually claims the leads provide a *sound* that
is of higher quality, they would certainly be taking their chances
somewhat if they were to do that...
