A word of caution, I was intending to get a FW800 G-RAID but was put
off by the number of reports of failures from these drives. Not to
mention the bad service lots of people had reported as well.
It scared me off.
I decided to put together a third party enclosure and quality
(enterprise class SATA) drives myself and have not had a problem. I
recommend DIY...
For traveling with my Macbook Pro I have an ICYBOX USB2 with a 300 GB
IDE drive in it. No good for media work other than streaming finished
video clips from it for demos.
