There are many websites that describe making lighting equipment
out of cheap parts from the Home Depot, etc. But they are all
based on having 120V normal domestic power. If you have to
do this from battery power, you're talking about more specialized
stuff and big, heavy battery(s) as Mr. Farnsworth has outlined.
You're right that the camera can likely compensate for the color
temp. You can't expect perfection from a $350 camera no matter
what kind of light you are using, but likely adequate for your
needs(?)
You may need to reconsider trying to do (1) architectural lighting
(2) from batteries (3) on a budget. Any two of those might be
managable, but the combination of all three is a killer. Consider
that a 500W lamp that you plug into the wall is no big deal. But
a 500W lamp running on 12V draws 42 amps! The cable alone
to do that safely will bust your budget. Not to mention how much
it weighs to lug around, and how long even a big RV deep-cycle
battery (read: expensive) will last at that power consumption.
