I am new to the satellite hobby and was interested in trying to "build" my
own FTA system. I have a RCA DTV receiver wiith P4 card, Dish net receiver
with ROM10 and Starchoice DSR410DNA by Next Level. I have a DTV dish with
Dual LNB and Starchoice dish with single LNB. From what I have been reading
I think I can do something with the Starchoice system. While I would like
to get programming from the US with the premium channels I would also like
to experiment with the hobby and see what I can get. I have searched the
web extensively but it is hard to find a step by step guide on what I need
to do to get running without buying another receiver. I was offered to buy
a Dish system in the summer but didn't feel it would last and I think it is
shut down now and I don't want to sink a few hundred bucks into a Pansat or
other similiar receivers only to have nothing in 3 months time. If anyone
can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
