the first 2 episodes were shot using a HD camcorder (not a camcorder as
standard but you get the idea) the rest of the season was shot using the
sony HD cams that the bbc hire for nearly all other HD programming (bleak
house, doctor who2) so the rest of the series should look better!
btw it looked great in HD but the instances u mention were distracting to me
too as i knew how they could have been overcome!!! seems they didnt have
long enough to play with their new toys before filming
