A HD file player that doesn't use an HDMI interface, just what everyone
has been looking for.
Looks nice, you kidding, that is one ugly piece of kit. Looks like a
wine bottle chiller or a hi-tech cookie jar. Where would it fit in my
setup, it could only go on top and not in the shelves.
They could have made it a low profile standard width piece of kit but
instead they made a coffee jar looking fecker
M-5000A will NOT play CSS copy protected DVD contents

The OP should check out www.mpcclub.com for the forums on 2nd gen HD
Divx players, these also handle Mpeg2 AVI, WMV etc so would handle the
files he is trying to use, there are forums dedicated to each of the
different players.

The Kiss one I mentioned in the other post also handles Nero Digital
files and supplies the software, I have taken to ripping DVDs to a nero
digital, the quality is very good and the files quite small as you
select the output size by disc size i.e fit to 1 x CD 80mins, 2x CD80
mins each, DVD5 4.7GB, DVD9 etc. It's buggy so you takes your chances.
I am not urging people to get one but it's an option. It does what it
does very well but has issues, firmware fixes are due though
