And unlike VHS, current Blu-Ray and HD players both play most standard
DVD, and therefore not as immediate a need to "replace your library".
(Unless, like newly released DVD's at the time, you wanted to.)
Problem is, that aspect doesn't get much publicity in the specs--
Uninformed mainstream customers aren't ready to "replace their DVD
library", as they're afraid they'll have to, and HD/DVD Combo titles
sell themselves faster to the timid convert....
Who will, if converted, eventually gravitate to HD-DVD players to play
the "other half" of their disks.
