The problem is the internet is full of measurebators who read too much
into specifications rather than use their own ears. You are clearly one
of them.

Which is best a PD150's 16 bit PCM audio or a Z1'a Mpeg2 audio?

I know which one the measurebator like Ty Ford would choose but the
pragmatist with good hearing would choose the Z1. It's all down to the
pre-amps.
