Is this possible.....

M mate does music quiz' and asked me if there is any way of taking say 30
mp3 files and running them thru some program that could edit them in one
go.....and save....the first 30 seconds of each track....discarding the
rest.

He could do it manually but is looking for an easy route.

Any ideas ??
