And it has raised our expectations so that location sound
doesn't sound "right" anymore. I've been watching the DVD
collection of the first season of "Numb3rs" and it sounds
very much like everything is location sound. To the point
where you have to listen carefully to hear some of the
dialog. Almost sounds like they mixed it with headphones
and never screened it in a dubbing theatre. I would have
mixed the dialog tracks up a bit.

I can. I don't think the Sony video people and the Sony
audio people have ever even met. They certainly don't
seem to talk to each other. Even the Sony consumer
video people and the pro video people don't seem to
know each other.
