But you failed to note that this very topic was the subject of a
previous rather heated debate. If you had done your homework,
you would not have fallen into the obvious trap. This is exactly
why it is recommended to "lurk" on a newsgroup for several
weeks (months?) before jumping in and making any assumptions.
Or at the very least, use the Google Groups Archive to see if
your question/issue has already been addressed.

You have a rather naieve concept of how these things work.

Don't get me wrong, I haven't seen you write anything I disagree
with, but there are strong sentiments on the other side of the
argument, and it has all been hashed over already. You haven't
brought anything new to the discussion.
