Don't think so. Many filmmakers don't go in the production sound
newsgroup but do come here.
And it's them I am interested in getting to. I don't care if it's only
1% here.
If you are going to do news style shooting, you can get away with
single-system sound.
Double system sound is a more complicated way to make sound IF you are
using a sound-man and a separate recorder. But if you are just using a
separate recorder for your audio, you will get to something in between
which may improve your control on your audio.
These are direction and production decisions we are talking about. And
as such they do belong here.
