As the download page says "Lame ain't an MP3 encoder" or words to that
effect.
It is a routine used by another program such as the excellent and now free
Audiograbber
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/download.html
Put the lame file in the same directory as Audiograbber and select internal
encoder.
You will see Lame come up, then select STEREO (NOT Joint Stereo), Quality
HIGH, and slide the bitrate bar to 320.
Easy.
If you don't want to encode in 320, high quality stereo, there is no need of
Lame.
