Why, pray tell, are you so concerned with Janti using 320 Kbps, and
not joint stereo? LAME is awesome exactly because you *don't* need to
do that. Its VBR presets and joint stereo are superior, on balance.
VBR uses 320 only in frames where it's needed, and even with 320
frames, joint stereo yields far more bits for the *sound*, without any
significant loss of the stereo effect.
