Nope - it just means it hasn't been renewed yet! ie I will be keeping
my eyes open and fingers crossed! Even past that date, the domain can
still be renewed by the current owner - but would cost a fair bit to
do.

I'd rather then bug me than not. Its not something you may tend to
think about and end up costing a small fortune to get Nominet to do
it.
