In standard VHS you could record 4 hours with no apparent loss on my
Philips 6 hours would be OK and 8 hours would be the equal of somewhere
between VHS sp and VHS lp nearer sp than lp but a reasonable guide to
quality. I used SVHS and record all at 3 hours for no apparent loss. my
liteon 5005 I would us 4 hours for good VHS
