maybe it wouldnt be practical to write 2 files to a single dvd
simultaneously - which people would sometimes want to do with 2 tuners in
the machine.
the alternative is if the recorder had a HD too and could record 2 channels
that way - and then you dub at your leisure onto dvd later.
