There were two deer, one was an albino, then the tiger, and later a
monkey.

In the scene where Morbius emerges from a door and catches the
commander browsing through the papers on his desk with the doctor, he
tells them where the animals came from. That is the scene where he
introduces them to the Krell by telling them about their existence.
