I didn't bother with the clip, and I won't, but he talk about the
inevetable frequency response change with distance that any directional
microphone exhibits with approximately a 4 feet boundary. The cause of
the effect is that the wavefront near a sound source is not planar
There is this here rap-music faq - aka the r.a.* faq that addresses that
and other interesting issues that whomsoever. RAP musicians make
extensive use of accellerated proximity effect so as to prevent anyone
from hearing what they sing or utter or whatever phrase that fits.
