Quicktime Pro at about $25 is a reasonable tool for making videos
convert between formats (eg whatever's in your AVI file, perhaps MPEG2
or M-JPEG and to MPEG4)
To get the software, download Quicktime 7, then use the Go Pro buttons
in the player to purchase a license key for the Pro (it's just an
in-place upgrade).
