Youa re confusing the use of the term "unlimited" with "unbounded". In
the case of NF, the term "unlimited" means "unknown". That is, the
number is not determined by anything that anyone knows anything about
based on a theoretical calculation. It is, as the poster above states,
based on "normal" renting/viewing habits.

If you get 3 DVDs on Monday in the afternoon mail, one for you, one
for your wife or friend and one for both of you, you will have ample
time to watch all the DVDs in a 24 hour period. Then you return them
to the mailbox Tuesday afternoon for pickup. If your USPS is working
properly, the returned discs will show up at NF for early processing
and the next 3 DVDs will be sent out that day. You get 3 more on
Thursday and return them on Friday for delivery Monday. Then the cycle
completes. On average considering some delays in delivery and
holidays, you can expect 20 DVDs per month which is a buck per DVD.
Considering the cost of gasoline and wear/tear on the auto, that's a
good deal.

How many more per month would you consider a good deal? I figure a
buck a DVD is good enough. all things considered. But if you don't
like it, there's always bit torrents. Figure how much your time is
worth downloading the equivalent of 5 DVDs per week, and burning them
to a DVD.

or so wicked as to lay and carry on designs against the liberties and
properties of the subject."
