I think it's because several people with pro experience in these groups
disagree about what they see in the clip. I am in awe of Roy W.
Rising's experience and resume, but I am convinced that this was a live
vocal.

Look, sometimes this is how it's done. Sometimes the whole thing is
prerecorded, sometimes the singer doubles a prerecorded vocal, but
sometimes they sing it live over tracks. (This is what they often did
in Roy's earlier era at ABC). If this was a lip synch, I have NEVER
seen one so precisely and skilfully done.

But I defer to my learned colleague.

Does anybody know who did the production on the telecast? Specifically,
the audio?
