I never said it was like an RAR archive. I said it behaves like an
archive file when used to hold a video image. The fact that it has
other uses is irrelevant to my comment.
If you extract the contents of an ISO image file with WinRAR you end
up with the same files you get in the VIDEO_TS directory. My point was
to attempt to demystify the ISO image file format.
