Many Japanese DVDs are like this. When you put th eDVD in, it defaults
to just playing the movie. You can change audio and subtitle
selections with the remote or you can hit <MENU> to get to the menu. i
find myslef a bit spoiled by these DVDs and when i rent a US one that
doens't act like this, it's a bit annoying.
