I don't have a BenQ PE7800 with which to test (it's an obsolete model
at this point), so obviously I can't offer any sort of absolute
guarantee on this, but I know of no reason why the Sony HDR-FX1 that
you're considering shouldn't work perfectly well with the PE7800.
You would want to use the three component RCA connectors for your
hook-up. Try to use high-quality cables and try to keep them as short
as possible, although I can appreciate that if the PE7800 is
ceiling-mounted, you may have to go some distance.
By the way, since you appear to be in Italy, which is a 50 Hz PAL
country, you would want to get the 50 Hz HDR-FX1E, not the 60 Hz
HDR-FX1, although either will work with the PE7800.
