My guess from reading between the lines is he's using an animation
system that's flash based, something like Swift or maybe Toonboom, and
he's wanting to bring the resulting animations into a video by
compositing. Some of the best 2-d animation is being done with flash
and vector art these days. translating everything into one foramt is
the problem. So he needs to transcode the flash aniamtion to soemthing
he can use with the video NLE. That's why I suggested targa streams or
redering into an AVi file.
