My son had an Alba TVD3455 TV/DVD combi nought for him at Christmas but it
doesn't appear to play all the DVD's he has. This is very weird because all
the DVD's are region 2 and it will only play some of them.

I read in the manual that the following disk types are supported:-

DVD
SS/SL 4.7" (DVD-5)
SS/DL 4.7" (DVD-9)
DS/SL 4.7" (DVD-10)
DS/DL 4.7" (DVD-18)

The trouble is not all DVD cases have this printed on them !!

Can anyone give me some guidance here ? I think maybe the player is faulty
in some way.
