On a sunny day (Tue, 26 Dec 2006 14:34:29 -0800) it happened "Richard Crowley"

Well, I thought about what to reply on this subject this morning.
Had too little sleep (festivities) and had to get up early....
This point I want to make: down scaling from 2048xsomething to 640x480
costs nothing if there is a processor and software and already am up-scaling
from 256x something-else to 640x480 algo is being used (so processor
has enough power to do that at 30fps), as it does not happen at the same time.
Or it is done in an ASIC (I have ripped the camera apart, but did not want to
go destructive to break out the PCB to look at its back where the CPU,
FPGA, ASIC, or whatever it is, to see the type number, but here is my
preliminary test or rather observation just after I got that camera:

For the rest I am just using it.
Now as to my thought this morning, one could argue there are 2 types of
ideas about how the universe works (or we in it):
1) We have free will
2) We do not have free will.
In case of '1' you should always remember this:

and in case of 2 we are just part of the mechanism of the universe,
and nothing I can say or do will make any difference to the configuration
of the neurons in your head unless it is destined to be.
So normally these discussions then go the way on everybody spitting out their
credentials and all the great works they have done and why that makes them more
knowledgeable then the other, sometimes even decorated with technical arguments.
So what can I do? I think I will leave it to '2' as long as '1' has not
happened, and those who are destined to be dummies in this universe will
be, and those who are destined not to be, will not be, for a while.
