Christianity is, by nature, a religion of paradoxes: Man as God, Death
in Life, Strength in Weakness. The Trinity is a virtually impossible
concept to comprehend, as is the exact nature of God's "relationship"
with the "Virgin" Mary. Christianity is, by it's nature, irrational.
This leads to hypocrisy.


As a result, Christians are very much in the habit of reinterpreting
the entire universe to suit their own particular convenience. This is
particularly true of Protestants, who feel the need to justify
everything in terms of scripture. Right-wing protestants will claim
passages of the Bible justify virtually whatever they feel like doing.
They will make entire Biblical passages up to suit their convenience.
