I never said there were. I said the active material is on the bottom.
You are the one who is wrong when you claimed the active material is
directly on the top.

The active material is sandwiched between two discs of polycarbonate.
Therefore the very sparse application of acetone to the top surface
would not affect the active material as you claimed.
