Hi all
I'm considering buying a DVR-440HX-S as it is the right price and
appears to do everything I want. Specifically has x2 RGB SCARTS which I
understand is going to give me better quality than if just one of the
SCARTS is RGB. When I turned my satellite box to TV onto RGB the quality
jump was huge, so I'm all for that. Similarly specced and priced Sony
models only had x1 RGB SCART.
One small doubt though - I read in the manual that you can only use the
'pause live TV' feature on the analogue input. We have a Sky digital
satellite setup (which would connect to DVR by SCART) and also an
Analogue aerial - so presumably I won't be able to use the pause feature
on satellite? Also, the DVR-440HX-S has a Freeview tuner in it which (as
far as I know) gets it's input from the normal aerial - so presumably I
could use pause with that? Even though Freeview is 'digital' TV?
Would appreciate it if anyone who knows more about this stuff could
advise. My AV knowledge is way out of date!
Many thanks,
Iain
