Chris,
As I said in an earlier post I have just bought the Pioneer and am well
satisfied. I am getting a superb picture from the Freeview tuner and
excellent recordings on the HDD. I have never used a DVD player before let
alone a recorder and during my research I read an article which advised
against buying a HDD/DVD recorder for your grandfather to replace his VCR as
they are so complex. Well my grandsons did not buy it for me and I bought
it to replace a worn out VCR. It seems to be a good piece of kit and I was
pleased to see the label 'Made in The UK' on the back. Like most
grandfathers I am finding the instruction manual hard work but so far so
good and I am sure in a few weeks I will have a better grasp of its
workings. It was also a pleasure to watch a couple of the DVDs I have
collected from The Guardian.
I know nothing of the Ellion.
Regards.
Dave.
