We have an older 27" TV that only has a coaxial hook-up on the back.
We currently have a cable box and a VCR also. We have the cable coming
in (from outside) to the VCR, then to the cable box, then to the TV.
Just bought a small DVD player which has 3 plugs which do not fit into
the tv anywhere since it's so old (Video, and Audio In/Out). Is there
a way to hook the DVD player up thru the cable box, using the Auxiliary
plug-ins in the cable box, so we can control the DVD player using the
universal cable company remote control, which has a button for
"Auxiliary"? We have the VCR hooked up that way using the "VCR"
plug-ins on the cable box, and can control the VCR by pressing the VCR
button on the cable remote. We tried it and it doesn't seem to work.
Or do we need to get an RF modulator and cable splitter, to hook up the
the coax directly to the TV, and use the DVD player's remote to control
it?
