The VCR will record whatever channel the cable box is tuned to. I.e.,
can't watch one channel while recording another. I think that's how we
set it up anyway.

We tried hooking it up differently, but couldn't get it to work. What
would you advise? Going to the cable box first, then the VCR, then the
TV?
