The point is that apple never said it was trying to "take over" the
phone business...

It can't, not with Nokia and motorola and others so far ahead....even
microsoft could not do anything to gain traction against these
entrenched phone makers....

However, just gaining 1% or so of the cellphone business (which deals
in BILLIONS of units) in so short a time would be a big accomplishment.
