Hybrid players make the PS3-as-a-blu-ray-player (and all other single-format
players) a waste of money - and make the hd-dvd/blu-ray argument
pointless.
The only reason left to buy a PS3 is if you want to play PS3 games.
Otherwise, buy a hybrid player for your HD movies - regardless their
medium.

I dunno, their Xbox 360 game console is thrashing Sony's PS3 so far. Sony
has also been screwing up a lot - laptop batteries that explode/melt, CDs
with illegal 'root kit' on them, blu-ray problems, PS3 isn't selling,
horrible arrogant statements to the press, etc.
As for what "side" Google's on - they're not going for either HD-DVD or
Blu-ray, but online streaming video content ala YouTube.
