What is the model player? What brand of blanks. Is the disk you burned +R
or -R? Did you finalize it when you burned it?

If you have a player that only plays +R and you burn a -R (or vice-versa)
the symptoms you describe will occur. It will play fine in the PC (which
plays both) but says check disk in the stand-alone player.
