From just looking at units in the stores, and at the CES, I tend to like DLP for the look.
 At the distance I wioll be viewing it, I will still be able to see the
 matrix of pixels on
 the display. DLP tends to not show the matrix at all. No you are wondering
 why I
 want a set that big. My wife has vision issues, so she needs the big screen
 to tead
 the menus and such. Unfortunately, they have very expensive lamps ($300-$500
 US).
 The TV it would replace is a 42" tube and it is on most of the day, so it
 would cost
 more in lamp replacement than it cost to buy it.
 
 On a brighter note, At CES TI was showing DLP projectors with LEDs as a
 light source.
 The picture looked pretty good, but it wasn't side by side with anything to
 compare it to.
 That is the technology that I might wait for. In the mean time I'll get by
 with the big tube.
