Thought so. Now, if I copy it and send it to a pal, that's illegal. But
for your own convienience and use, you can do it. If not how could this
be marketed?

Although I wonder how they prevent people from uploaded rented DVD's. A
simple solution would be to require a reinsertion of the actual DVD
periodically to prevent deletion (and making sure it's the same actual
copy, not another rented disc of the same title).
