Yes, it's the content. GOOD content. So why do we continually see such
stellar gems like "Dude, where's my car?" being pushed to Blu-Ray? That's
not going to convince anyone to upgrade...

Not if they don't actually put out anything worth watching. So far, both
Blu-Ray and HD-DVD have mainly been doing stupid fluff titles. Some I've
rented, but feel no need to rewatch, muchless buy, in HD.
