That is the exact antennae my friends are using and my friend in
Scarborough is using.

Works like a charm.

We test terk, it was about 4 feet long, said it was omni-directional,
didn't work worth crap, called Terk they said it wasn't but that is
how the advertising department wanted it labled, so in the trash it
went.
Then we tried a flying saucer type omni-directional, again it turned
out once you read the directions that it was only sort of
omni-directional, so it went back.
Next was a yagi of some sort, I was not there so don't know how big it
was, but it didn't work worth crap either.
Well I had a 4 bay bowtie here that was 30+ years old, it had seen
better days, so it went there ( Niagara Falls Ontario ), I mean when I
say it had seen better days, I mean it. This thing was bent and out
of shape and even rusted in places, parts where held together with
tie-wraps.
Well the guys laughed at it, it was so ugly there was no way it was
going to work. Up it went, pointed towards buffalo and it got good
signal on everything but 49.1. So it was wide enough to cover from
grand island to.

Well that was it he went out and got a 4 bay and it works like a charm
from Niagara Falls, the other friend in Thorold got an 8 bay and took
down a VHF/UHF he had been using and got an increase in strength, but
still no 49.1, though he did manage for about a week to get all the
Rochester stations when he swung it around that way. His girlfriend
lives in Dain City and my GRILL as it had become know went out there
to replace a VHF/UHF to see what kind of strength it would come up
with. Low and behold another 8 bay was ordered and a new rotator.
The GRILL never made it to Scarborough though he just believed us
after seeing and ordered one and a rotator and he is happy as hell
with what he gets out of it.

Me right now I am using a flying saucer type with the built in rotator
for the HDTV ( RCA 38310 38 inch picture tube wide screen, largest
16:9 picture tube every made ) I just got from my friend for XMAS, for
being such a nice guy and offering my help to him and family and
friends over the years with all kinds of TV type stuff. I just
haven't got the grill back up here yet but I do get have decent
reception on the UFO but the GRILL is going up the first chance I can
get it up.
Friend in Scarborough thought he might need a pre-amp but nope it was
not needed.

Here is a list of stations for this area and where the transmitters
are located.

http://www.remotecentral.com/hdtv/index.html

I cannot get here 66.1 or 53.1 or 49.1, but I get everything else but
the Rochester stations and if I get the grill up here or the UFO up on
my tower I just may get 49.1.
