Hello all... This is my first post to this group, please excuse me if
i step on anyone's toes, or irritate anybody...
I was wondering, it is at all possible to take a low bit rate mp3,
say a 128kbs and some how re sample it, without the original source
file up to 192 or higher?
I mean there have been many improvements in mp3 tools since i
started digitizing... early on i went with the mp3 format , well,
because that was the big thing back then( 4 or 5 years ago) now i have
realized that mp3s are not really the best way to digitize your music,
i guess unless you use 256 or higher bit rate, but i heard after 220
its useless(with the mp3 format , that is)... I have 1000's of older
files that i do not have the source for.... i have several hundred
files that are @ 128 or some even a bit less, files from friends....
or are there any plug ins or tools that can be used to help in making
the music sound a bit better? I normall use the following players/
converters...
Windows media player
Mix Meister pro 6/7
OTSdj
dbpoweramp converter
Any ideas?
Thanks..
Have a great day!
