Hello,
I have some DV recordings from my camcorder to copy
to DVD. I have tried different ways to do that:

 - through PC and a DVD authoring program - works,
is slow, there are problems with original date/time
(I'd like to have this information preserved on DVD)

 - using a DVD recorder, LG RH188 - works, does not
 save date/time info.

So, because I'd like both fast copying and date/time
info on my copies, I decided to buy an old Philips
recorder, DVDR-75, which (according to many opinions)
is a good model, with FireWire and saves date/time
info from DV sources as subtitles.

It works fine, only one function does not - copying
from my camcorder... The result is as follows:

A short clip: http://tiny.pl/c4kv (15 MB, XviD compressed)
 A single frame: http://tiny.pl/c42q

As you can see, on each frame there are some distorted
squares looking like decompressed with too little
 DCT coefficients.

Did anybody see such distortions? What could be the reason?
I have switched to the mentioned LG recorder (without
any changes to the rest of the system) and it worked well...

 Regards
 Piotr
