I used to use CD-WOW quite a lot because their prices used to be quite
good. The only real downside was their lack to range, which is why I
stopped using them. Anyway, they kept sending me 50p and £1 e-vouchers
so I thought I'd give them a go again. I really wish that I hadn't.

All five of my orders came from Hong Kong as 'rattlers' - discs off
mount. In the case of 'Snakes On A Plane' it looked like someone had
taken a knife to the disc's playing surface it was that badly damaged.
In fairness, CD-WOW were quick to despatch replacements. Guess what?
Yup, more rattlers. At this point (not unsurprisingly) CD-WOW refused to
supply any more discs and wanted the duff items returned. No problem I
thought, they'll send me a pre-paid sticker so that I can send the stuff
back to their UK address. No, not this time. I had to send the stuff
back at my expense to an address in Cyprus. CD-WOW will refund the
postal charges as e-vouchers - they won't refund your credit card like
Play do. To add insult to injury I had to wait two weeks to get my
e-vouchers, which of course I could only use against a new purchase.
Yes, you've guessed it - the latest order - Clerks II - was delivered as
a two-disc rattler.

Now, I do get occasional rattlers from other suppliers, Play mainly, but
this is well out of order.

I shan't be using CD-WOW again unless they have an absolute bargain or
something that I can't get elsewhere.

Definitely a case of caveat emptor I reckon.

HTH
