Bought a new Memorex 18X burner, which is quite slow, called the
manufacturer and was told the problem was in my secondary IDE channel. He
told me how to adjust it, but there are no controls. He told me the SP 2
from Microsoft had it. I have all the updates from Microsoft installed, any
way around this speed problem, 4X is a bit slow for a 18 X drive. Dell says
its the hardware, they says it Microsoft and Intel.
The controler is an Intel 82801DB Ultra ATA control. Any help most
appreciated. Thanks
